Requirement to bring CHANGE
I remember a time when 'glass bottles' were used for sauce packaging. However these bottles weren't very convenient as, if the bottle slipped from your hand you landed in a mess. I can recollect, once the content were almost over I would pour in some water and give the bottle a stir to pull out all the sauce which stuck to the inner side of the bottle to reduce the wastage. These glass bottles weren't great to carry on a picnic, many times we had to opt for our steel vessels to pack sauce! Also these bottles had no control over how much sauce could be squeezed out....sometimes you only needed a drop of it and half the bottle would empty in....huh, we all have been there I suppose!
Taking in account all the disadvantages of these glass bottles the sauce producing enterprises opted for the plastic sauce pouches. These pouches are indeed extremely convenient. We can carry them anywhere as they are super flexible and can fit anywhere. Moreover there is no chance of the packet spilling over its contents! Due to all these advantages the plastic pouches soon took over the market and now, we can rarely see any glass bottles.
If we go back and ponder, the basic thing that lead to these trending plastic pouches was its 'flexibility'. The quality of plastic being flexible has made us incorporate it in almost everything we use. Flexibility thus is a very important element....isn't it?
If we observe people around us, we quickly get along with those personalities who are flexible and not rigid. Imagine if our customs had been rigid the cruel practices of female atrocities would have had continued. We need to be flexible to adopt to difference. If we are adamant, ''I do it this way".....we would be left out and forgotten!
We love democracy because it is flexible unlike Hitler's rule. As time suggests we need to change and we can bring change in ourselves only if we are flexible enough! I have already written enough on change in my last blog.
Change is the only constant and flexibility is the requirement for change!
Change is the only way forward. It is mind blowing how everything around us tries to teach us something. You picked up the most common yet a powerful example. Keep observing, keep writing. 😃
ReplyDeleteWell thought & well executed.Being in packaging industry, I see the flexibility in the formats getting adopted in the industry. Keep Innovating. Keep writing.
